Supporting Strategies

Glasgow is a better connected, competitive and forward-looking city. This is a time of significant investment that presents a unique opportunity for Glasgow’s tourism industry to harness the growth potential of city strategies and positively contribute to national tourism growth targets set out in Tourism Scotland 2020.

The city’s overarching Economic Strategy to 2023 will enable our tourism sector to build on a thriving city economy and economic prosperity, as it promote digital connectivity, entrepreneurship, skills development and business growth.

The Glasgow City Region City Deal represents an exciting opportunity to deliver the Glasgow Airport Rail Link, regional transport improvements, land regeneration, employability and innovation initiatives to support small and medium enterprises.

Our Tourism and Visitor Plan integrates with the Glasgow City Centre Strategy 2014-2019 and Glasgow City Centre Transport Strategy 2014-2024 to deliver investment in public realm, districts and the integration of different modes of transport, multi-modal ticketing and way-finding.

Below is a comprehensive list of publications and plans that have common ambitions for tourism in Glasgow and Scotland.
